Your main responsibilities will be:
– Analyze and interpret technical plans, drawings and specifications provided by reference or prepared by other professionals;
– Design and prepare technical drawings (electrical distribution systems, emergency power, lighting, fire alarm and other related systems);
– Perform surveys of electrical installations and carry out the layout of these;
– Perform calculations of the various electrical systems;
– Coordinate electrical installations with installations from other disciplines such as mechanical, architectural, structural, civil and others;
– Perform verification of shop drawings submitted by contractors;
– Perform inspections and produce lists of work to be corrected and/or completed;
– Participate in meetings;
– Any other job-related tasks.
ProfileThe ideal profile has the following characteristics:
– Must have a DEC in building electricity;
– Have 2 to 5 years’ experience in a consulting engineering firm;
– Possess excellent knowledge of standards and codes applicable in Quebec;
– Proficiency in AutoCad software, REVIT an asset;
– Ability to follow several projects simultaneously and work as part of a team;
– Excellent spoken and written French, English an asset;
– Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
