Production supervisor

Our client in St-Georges de Beauce is looking for a Production Supervisor.

The role of production supervisor involves orchestrating the operations of a production department to ensure that projects are delivered within established quality standards, deadlines and budgets. As a leader, you’ll be the backbone of your team, mobilizing resources and driving continuous improvement to achieve objectives. You will also be responsible for developing and optimizing manufacturing methods.Your main responsibilities:
  • Monitor and update production performance indicators.
  • Supervise the delivery of production plans according to expected quality criteria.
  • Monitor work progress and promptly resolve any problems that arise.
  • Provide constant support to team leaders to ensure efficient operations.
  • Optimize resource allocation to meet targets and foster continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate actively in strategic planning meetings.
  • Ensure smooth transition between different shifts.
  • Encourage adherence to manufacturing methods and standards.
  • Manage personnel and related administrative aspects.
  • Contribute to the development of training plans for teams.
  • Guarantee product quality and support the team in achieving objectives.
  • Resolve day-to-day issues while ensuring process control and optimization (standardization, maintenance, training, coaching, etc.).

Profile
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in production management in a manufacturing environment, including at least 5 years in team management.
  • Graduation in woodworking, production management
  • Proven skill in reading plans for production.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent leadership skills with an ability to mobilize and develop talent.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practices and continuous improvement tools.
  • Ability to quickly identify problems and propose effective solutions.

  • Contractual information
  • Permanent full-time position (40 hours/week).
  • Day schedule, Monday to Friday.
