Our client, a leading company in the weatherstripping and lite framing industry, is seeking a an injection molding set-up technician to join their team in Milton. This position involves working on day shifts and is essential for ensuring the maintenance and operation of injection moulding machines.

Responsibilities:

• You will install and remove moulds from machines according to the production schedule and work order specifications.
• You will be responsible for moulding machine set-up including ancillary equipment such as water temperature controllers and robots.
• You will respond to machine alarms in a timely manner and troubleshoot issues.
• You will be responsible for proper handling and care of all, moulds, and tooling.
• You will attend to machine start-up and shutdown procedures; and
• You will perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Skills:

You have strong attention to detail and excellent prioritization skills; good written and oral communication skills; basic 3 axis robot knowledge and ability to attend to the needs of over 15 moulding machines ranging from 85T to 1100T, Nissei, Engel and Negri Bossi molding machines; you have a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in injection moulding setup; and are able to operate a forklift and overhead crane.
