HR manager

 Our client, a leader in the industrial construction sector is looking for a Human Resources Manager to join their operations in Northern Ohio. Job Summary This position offers the opportunity to have a leadership role in HR. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes within the business. You will partner with management in the areas of talent development, talent acquisition, employee engagement, employee relations, payroll and benefits, reward and recognition and succession planning. The successful candidate will also partner with the management team to advance the business objectives through HR leadership. Key Job Responsibilities • Partner and participate with the management team to implement change management and HR solutions in support of business strategies and initiatives • Build and maintain strong employee relations with colleagues through a strong communication and collaboration initiatives. • Develop, revise, implement and administer human resource programs, policies, practices and procedures that improve business performance and also ensure compliance, consistency and equity.  • Partner with managers to create and implement employee development programs to grow the talent of the organization.  • Oversee recruitment processes from job posting to onboarding, ensuring alignment with staffing needs and company goals. • Develop and implement effective onboarding programs to integrate new hires into the manufacturing environment seamlessly. • Process payroll and administration of all benefits and pension plans  • Handle employee relation issues and confidential matters, conduct investigations, and provide appropriate resolutions. • Collaborate with Employees and Management to help drive a safety culture • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures and programs. • Responsible for identifying, designing and implementing training and organizational development initiatives that strengthen the effectiveness of staff, leadership and organization performance. • Ensures compliance with various legal requirements relating to employment law, health and safety, and insurance, as well as Policies and Procedures and handle all any legal matters that may arise • Coaching managers in employment related issues including human resource planning, performance management and discipline • Support career development initiatives to promote employee growth and retention. • Drive HR initiatives and projects to improve efficiency, employee engagement, and business performance. Position Requirements • Undergraduate degree in human resources Management or relevant field   • SHRM Certified is an asset • Proven experience as an HR manager in a industrial environment • Demonstrated change management capabilities and experience • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with management and employees  • In-depth knowledge of labor legislation and HR best practices. • Experience processing and administering benefits. • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to keep key stakeholders informed, make presentations and facilitate training  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills. This position reports to the general manager of the Ohio region.  There is no direct report on this position. This is an in-person position with some travel to other locations.
