Navigation Coordinator

We are seeking, on behalf of one of our clients in the transportation sector, a Navigation Coordinator to join their team. Responsibilities:
Commercial and Contractual Management
- Technical and Risk Analysis: Assessing voyages and risks before issuing bids to ensure compliance with regulations and operational requirements.
- File Management: Following up on commercial files from initial request to voyage completion.
- Stakeholder Communication: Establishing strong links with internal and external parties, and communicating with vessels to ensure compliance and cargo availability.
- Charter Parties Knowledge: Developing a thorough understanding of charter parties before contract execution.
Supervision and Operations Monitoring
- Preparation of Loading Plans: Developing plans to maximize cargo loads and reduce contamination risks.
- Voyage Monitoring: Monitoring voyage progress (daily reports, fuel consumption, etc.) to identify risks and opportunities.
- Supply Approval: Validating fuel orders and voyage orders.
Performance Management and Administration
- Instructions for Vessels: Preparing and transmitting instructions regarding positioning and schedules.
- Document Preparation: Preparing cargo declarations and claims.
- Reports and Recommendations: Participating in the creation of reports to make recommendations.
- Incident Monitoring: Managing events/incidents and developing corrective actions.
- ISO Standards and Procedures: Implementing and monitoring ISO standards and administrative policies, as well as developing new procedures to ensure operational accuracy.
- Risk Management: Participating in the implementation of a risk-focused management approach.
Profile:
- Three years of experience in maritime transport operations management;
- Experience as a crew member on a tanker is an asset;
- Excellence in relationship management and communication with vessel managers, terminals, and other stakeholders;
- Experience related to the maritime sector in general, including operations, vessels, stowage, and commercial operations;
- Bilingual French/English, both spoken and written;
- Knowledge and proficiency in MS Office software;
- Willingness to travel.

- Permanent, full-time position – 37.5 hours per week;
