Position summary:

The incumbent is responsible for maintaining and performing preventive maintenance on production equipment according to company needs and equipment availability, participating in the development and maintenance of the preventive maintenance program; installing, modifying, repairing and maintaining production machinery.

Task description:

• Perform electrical, mechanical and pneumatic troubleshooting
• Assure electromechanical or mechanical maintenance of equipment and buildings (prevention and repair)
• Ensure continuous smooth operation of production lines;
• Make minor and major modifications to equipment;
• Read and interpret electrical, mechanical and pneumatic drawings;
• Respect HACCP quality and food safety standards, including occupational health and safety guidelines;
• See to the preventive and corrective maintenance of production equipment;
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems;
• Communicate information well before and after shifts;
• Perform any other related duties as assigned;

• 5 years’ experience in production machinery and pallet trucks (industrial environment);
• Experience in the field is an asset;
• Mechanical and electrical skills;
• Basic knowledge of fruit and vegetable packaging production machinery;
• Good mechanical observation skills.
