Accounting technician

Our client, a fast-growing company in the construction industry is currently looking for an Accounting Technician.Your responsibilities
  • Prepare and issue invoices to customers;
  • Assure payment follow-up with customers;
  • Perform cash receipts follow-up;
  • Prepare invoice approvals;
  • Sort supplier invoices;
  • Perform account balancing;
  • Prepare payments;
  • Manage supplier denunciations and releases;
  • Ensure credit follow-up;
  • Produce payroll and benefits;
  • Account for timesheets and expense accounts;
  • Perform DAS government remittances, payroll statement, Record of Employment, RRSP remittances and terminations of employment;
  • Perform payroll approval with banking institution;
  • Support preparation of financial reports and statements;
  • Perform bank reconciliation, bookkeeping, GST-QST remittances, balance sheet balancing and income statement preparation;
  • Manage invoices via email, print and file and ensure they are approved and validate statements of accounts;
  • Produce correspondence with suppliers for all billing issues;
  • Collaborate with the comptroller for the year-end file and for the preparation of tax returns;
  • Make purchases and inventory of office equipment.
Profile
  • 3-5 years'experience as an accounting technician;
  • Experience in the construction field;
  • Knowledge of CCQ standards;
  • Strong and thorough;
  • Be a good team player.
Contractual information
  • 40 hours per week
  • Face-to-face position
  • REER the employer contributes $2500 per year
  • 4 weeks vacation
  • 7 personal and mobile days
