Position Summary: The Production Supervisor coordinates the production of finished goods to fulfill customer orders. This role involves rotating shifts, alternating between days and afternoons biweekly. As a key member of the plant’s leadership team, the supervisor will ensure operational excellence and adherence to food safety standards. Profil Position Responsibilities: Team Management: Lead a team of approximately 30-40 production employees across different lines, ensuring high performance and adherence to company standards. Food Safety Compliance: Maintain and sustain the company’s Food Safety Culture and Systems, ensuring compliance with CFIA, USDA, FDA, and GFSI regulations. Operational Excellence: Ensure the team meets food safety, legality, regulatory compliance, efficiency, quality, and customer satisfaction standards within a safe working environment. Labor Management: Oversee the labor force in line with the company’s best interests and respect the collective agreement. Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including training and disciplinary management. Safety Initiatives: Develop and implement safety plans with the Plant Leadership Team (PLT) to reduce recordable injuries. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work effectively with QA, maintenance, sanitation, payroll, inventory control & procurement, finance, and product innovation departments to promote best practices and improve cost structures. Team Collaboration: Foster a collaborative environment with team members, other supervisors, and the production manager. Informations contractuelles Preferred Hiring Criteria: Experience: 2-4 years in a supervisory role with a significant level of complexity. Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure. Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt the work schedule as needed. Management Skills: Proficiency in managing employees, scheduling, inventory systems, labor relations, and safety. Production Skills: Strong skills in production scheduling and forecasting. Food Processing Knowledge: Significant experience with food processing, CFIA, HACCP. Technical Proficiency: Effective use of Office software.
