Manufacturing Customer Service Representative

Our client, a prominent manufacturer specializing in garage windows and lite frames, is seeking a dedicated Customer Service Representative to join their team. Role Summary: The Customer Service Representative (CSR) will deliver outstanding customer service by managing sales documentation, ensuring accurate order scheduling, and coordinating shipments based on customer requests. This role involves addressing customer inquiries about quotes, orders, ETAs, returns, and collaborating with production and shipping/receiving teams to ensure optimal customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Verify order accuracy and pricing and confirm details before sending confirmations to customers. Respond to customer inquiries related to products and services. Enter and update customer requests in Sage 100. Collaborate constructively with team members to resolve issues. Handle data entry and reception duties as needed. Manage ad hoc tasks as assigned. Update ship dates for backorders and print related documents. Communicate with customers via phone or email regarding orders and issues. Expedite rush orders by liaising with the production plant. Address invoice or credit issues by coordinating with the accounting department. Process credits when required. Coordinate with the purchasing department to check product availability. Assist with order writing, answering phones, and providing quotes and ETAs. Track shipments and manage shipping tasks including creating Bills of Lading (BOL), booking couriers, and preparing pro invoices.   Qualifications: Education: High School Diploma (O.S.S.D.) Post-secondary education preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a similar role within manufacturing. Proven customer service experience. Core Competencies: Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently. Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to address customer needs effectively. High attention to detail and accuracy. Effective time management skills. Composure when dealing with challenging customer interactions. Eagerness to learn and understand product details.
