Electrical designer

The Electrical Designer will be responsible for the design, development and implementation of electrical systems for new and existing data center construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical engineering and design principles, as well as several years'experience in design consulting for building electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop electrical designs for new projects and renovate existing projects as necessary.
  • Prepare electrical drawings, specifications and project plans.
  • Prepare reports and calculations for loads, cables, etc.

  • Liaise with energy suppliers, such as Hydro-Québec, for power upgrades.

Travel requirements: Occasional travel to Israel, the United States, Canada and the European Union may be required to visit sites and take on-site measurements.

Profile
  • Fluency in French and English preferred.
  • Good knowledge of relevant codes and standards, such as IEEE, CBC, RBQ, etc.
  • Member of OIQ, PEO, PE or other engineering regulatory body.
  • Minimum of 5 years'mission-critical design experience is considered an asset, including experience in the healthcare, utility or defense sectors.
  • ASP construction safety certification or willingness to undergo training.
  • Ability to obtain reliability security clearance from the federal government.
  • Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Travel requirements: Occasional travel to Israel, USA

Salary: $125,000 – $150,000 per annum
