Our client, a consulting engineering firm located in Laval, is looking for a building electrical technician in the context of a residential, institutional, commercial or industrial project both private and public:Here are the responsibilities:

Analyze and interpret technical plans, drawings and specifications provided by other professionals or by reference.

Design and develop technical drawings for electrical distribution, emergency power, lighting, fire alarm, and other related systems.

Conduct surveys of existing electrical installations and transpose them into drawings.

Make the necessary calculations for the various electrical systems.

Coordinate the integration of electrical installations with those of other disciplines such as mechanical, architectural, structural, civil engineering, and others.

Check shop drawings submitted by contractors.

Perform inspections and draw up lists of work to be corrected or completed.

Profile

• Must have a DEC in building electricity;
• Have 2 to 5 years’ experience in a consulting engineering firm;
• Have excellent knowledge of applicable Quebec standards and codes;
• Mastery of AutoCad software, REVIT an asset;
• Ability to follow several projects simultaneously and work in a team;
• Have excellent spoken and written French, English an asset;
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite.
