LCL Business Development Manager

Our client, one of Canadas largest National Brand manufacturers of food products are looking for a Business Development Manager. Working with the Loblaws Company Limited Sales Canada team we are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a dynamic growing organization. The Business Development Manager on the sales team is responsible for driving business growth through the identification and acquisition of new clients and markets. This role involves developing strategies, building relationships, and ensuring the company meets its revenue targets. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, business strategy, and a proven track record of achieving targets within a sales team environment. Responsibilities: Proactively develop and presents insights and business updates to existing Loblaw Category Conduct market research and analyze industry trends to inform strategies. Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve company sales plans and objectives. Recommend detailed sales strategies for Loblaws Company Limited divisions and banners Nationally and regionally. Execute strategies internally against budget requirements. Identify present and future opportunities for growth both internally and externally. Work closely with other members of the sales team, marketing teams and trade teams, to share insights and strategies. Use data from customer POS and AC Nielsen to build category presentations and report on trends to both Riviana and stakeholders. Manage trade spending effectively and efficiently with Trade/Deduction Analyst. Establish and maintain solid customer relationships with customer Directors, Category Managers and Merchants. Provide direction to our Field Sales Team to help maximize planned activity. Develop relationships with clients while maintaining existing client relationships. Requirements: University degree in business or marketing an asset. Ideally a minimum of 8 years sales experience in progressive roles within the CPG industry. Recent LCL account experience as a Business Development Manager preferred. Strong planning, negotiation, and forecasting skills. Ability to work in a hybrid environment – 2-3 days week in office. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, including Powerpoint and Excel a must. Experience in AC Nielsen and LDIA data, preferred. Customer POS System experience preferred. Power BI an asset. Strong time management skills a must. Strong analytic skills a must.
